2012.10.05.jpgQuietly located in a cul de sac off Lake Road, Fell Croft is a modern, single storey property, ideally positioned with both the lake shore and the village centre five minutes walk away.

2nd October 2012 - A makeover for Tower Cottage

Sitting high above Sawrey Knotts, looking down on all around is Tower Cottage. It looks like a castle but in truth is an old Victorian folly, complete with castellation.

Tower Cottage has recently been refurbished with new bath/shower rooms and new furniture in the bedrooms and the Sitting Room.

4th June 2012 - The Queen's Diamond Jubilee Celebrations in Coniston Village

2012.06.04.jpg

We were proud and happy to support the Coniston jubilee street party by sponsoring the street entertainer.

This unique event in Coniston’s history, resulting from closing the main road for about 4 hours! Was enjoyed by young and old alike.

It was great to see so many visitors mixing with the locals and great to see the huge amount of food brought by everybody for everyone.

A huge vote of thanks goes to the organising committee and the Parish council for taking the old initiative to put on this special, very enjoyable event.

Well done everyone!

24th February 2012 - New Cottage, No 3 Wilsons Cottage, Torver

2012.02.24.jpg
A gorgeous little attached cottage, just totally refurbished, with a hot tub in the garden, views to Coniston Old Man, and at the heart of Torver Village, next to The famous Wilsons Arms.

For many years the Mayvers family have been providing good food, refreshment and excellent hospitality in Torver, and now the next 'generation' have lovingly restored and refurbished this little old cottage, together with Riverside Cottage, just down the road.

Food and refreshments maybe easily served from the pub, and transport is available, by arrangement, from Windermere railway Station, prior to your arrival.

The cottage has been restored with a wealth of local natural materials, including oak and slate floors, and oak doors.

28th January 2012 - New Cottage, Riverside Cottage, Sunny Bank, Torver

2012.01.28.jpgThis stunning cottage was created very carefully by its local owners just a few years ago and incorporates everything needed for a relaxing holiday.

The main rooms are exceptionally spacious and have been designed for entertaining.

The cottage overlooks Torver Beck, which is a river by this point.

Over a little bridge the grounds of the cottage extend to over an acre and right down to your own lake beach, with its jetty and summer house.

Dinghy's and sailing boats can be launched from the beach and kept there during your stay.

24th January 2012 - New Cottage, Crag Cottage, Far End, Coniston

2012.01.24.jpgCrag Cottage is in the middle of a terrace of Grade II listed, 18th century, quarryman cottages.

It is spectacularly situated under Yewdale Crag at the 'Far End' of the village of Coniston, at the north end of Coniston Lake. Built of Lakeland stone with thick walls and an open fire, it is the epitome of a traditional Lakeland cottage.

It has a superb location on a little lane at the edge of the village, 5 minutes walk from the numerous pubs, cafes, shops and church, but away from the hubbub.

The view from the cottage is easterly across fields and woods to Grizedale forest and in the winter the lake can be seen from the house.
