The Coppermines and Lakes Cottages have over 80 properties available accommodating from 2 to 35 guests so, no matter how big a venue you need for your special occasion, we are sure to have a property suited to your needs.

Hen & stag parties are particularly popular in many of our larger cottages and the Lake District is a great place to celebrate your last weekend of freedom. Corporate groups will find just what they are looking for too!

Dixon Ground Cottages | Coniston Village | Sleeping up to 14

Two Victorian stone built mid-terraced properties, with a delightful cottage garden, built 100 years ago by the owners grandparents with much recent refurbishment and period features.

Situated in the quieter upper part of the village, under mature trees, the cottages are at the start of the footpaths to the fells. They have extensive mountain views to the rear, whilst at the front you can enjoy the re-landscaped garden from the shelter of the open Victorian veranda.


The Bridge Cottages | Coniston Village | Sleeping up to 16

These historic whitewashed stone cottages are in the heart of the village and are some of the oldest buildings dating back over 300 years, being the original village post office, a butchers and, latterly, a well known eating house. They have private parking and a small garden, with a further private waterside garden with tables, chairs and barbecue by Church Beck with extensive views over the village & the surrounding fells.

They can be ingeniously combined together for groups of up to 16 people in 8 bedrooms, ideal for celebrating special occasions and only a short walk from all amenities. There's also the use of two private hot tubs too!


The Coppermines Mountain Cottages | Coppermines Valley | Sleeping up to 22 

Four Cottages, recently refurbished with en-suite facilities, each self contained, which are able to be interconnected together in various combinations, sleeping 2 - 22 people. Our Victorian Sawmill is restored and converted into 4 cottages which, with the ingenious use of extra internal passageways & doors downstairs, can be easily combined together for parties & celebrations and accommodation for families or groups. There's also 4 private hot tubs on site for guest use.

Sawyers Cottage is also licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and a marquee can be erected next to the cottages for wedding receptions.

Another cottage (No 4 Coppermines Cottages) sleeps 4 and is about 500 yards further down the valley.


Lane Head | Nr.Coniston Water | Sleeping up to 35

An exceptional period property situated on the eastern shores of Coniston Water. Historically this impressive home was once owned by William Collingwood, secretary to John Ruskin and a renowned artist in his own right. Now lovingly refurbished to offer its guests simple, spacious, comfortable & practical accommodation, this magnificent home can adequately sleep up to 35 within eight roomy en suite bedrooms, the majority of which enjoy breath-taking lake and mountain views.

With an array of activities on offer for all guests, Lane Head is a Lake District home like no other. A fantastic & unique base to come together and enjoy outdoor education courses, activities, celebrations and much more. Perfect for corporate and independent groups, friends and families alike.

Working with local company Adventure 21 we are able to offer fantastic, flexible, educational and active stays in the heart of England’s adventure capital. Tailor make your stay to suit your group’s wants and needs. Fill your break with excitement and adrenalin or choose less energetic past times alongside plenty relaxation or enjoy a healthy mixture. All activities are immediately onsite at Lane Head or not far from the doorstep. If you want to run a course from knitting to paragliding, Lane Head is the ideal base. A large and versatile space in an amazing setting.

Following a year of major refurbishment works ending in May 2016, this magnificent Georgian property has undergone a complete transformation.

Located a stone’s throw from Coniston village (less than a third of a mile), set on the road to the striking and historical Coppermines Valley lies this spacious Georgian home. The owners, Jane & Simon have, with much effort managed to create a home of the highest quality standards whilst carefully managing to preserve the properties outstanding historical features.

From its peaceful situ the house enjoys delightful aspects overlooking the open fields to the front and the bubbling Church Beck to the rear. Whilst the outside of the property offers areas of solitude and calm, it is inside where the real allure of this beautiful home can be found.


Beckside | Coniston Village | Sleeping up to 8

Beckside is a lovely four-bedroom detached cottage, situated in the peaceful Hawes Bank area of Coniston, next door to the Catholic Church.

The surrounding Coniston fells can be walked straight from the front door & The Ship Inn is only few minutes’ walk away along the old railway line which leads back into the village. In essence Beckside Cottage has bags of space: there's rooms to bring families together yet room enough to spread out too, situated not far from the amenities of Coniston village, the fells and the lake this truly is a great family holiday base.


Thwaite Cottage | Coniston Village | Sleeping up to 8 | No Hen/Stag Groups

Thwaite cottage is a charming whitewashed family home dating back to the 1500s, set in a quiet, sunny location on the outskirts of Coniston with seasonal views over the lake towards Grizedale Forest, the village and Coniston Old Man.

The cottage can be found tucked away along a flat private drive shared with adjoining National Trust properties. Whilst its location is away from the hustle and bustle of Coniston, the village’s pubs, restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance. There is parking space for numerous cars.


High Park | Torver | Sleeping up to 8 | No Hen/Stag Groups

South of Coniston in the pretty village of Torver, perched on the fell slopes sits a magnificent whitewashed detached cottage. With forests behind and commanding views across the village and valley beyond, this period home has to be seen to be believed.

From its peaceful and idyllic situ, High Park is a unique cottage offering high levels of comfort and a real home from home feel. Once visited, never forgotten.

A lovely recently extended, detached cottage set in its own attractive gardens, well situated, yet very, very peaceful.

Located in the heart of Coniston village, Cherry Tree Cottage offers all who visit the very best of both worlds. The delightful amenities of Coniston are on the doorstep and a variety of low and high level walks are just minutes away. The cottage offers a myriad of rooms, most of which are on the ground floor. Situated high above all of Coniston village, Fairsnape Cottage offers unrivalled views from most windows, and particularly from the spacious paved terrace with extends through french doors from the dining kitchen.

The cottage, which is traditionally decorated with much antique furniture, has log fires, exposed beams, many original features and gas central heating. Nearby, around 4 minutes walk away, are the village pubs, shops and restaurants.

A large detached single storey home, on the edge of Coniston, yet still easily within village centre walking distance. Much loved by its owners, Low How offers all who visit a warm and comfortable base to rest their heads.

Due to its location, this spacious cottage is perfectly positioned for families and groups wishing to explore Coniston and the central Lakes area. The surrounding Coniston fells can be accessed easily straight from the front door & the delightful amenities of Coniston are just a few minutes’ walk away.
