The Coppermines Mountain Cottages | Coppermines Valley | Sleeping up to 22
Four Cottages, recently refurbished with en-suite facilities, each self contained, which are able to be interconnected together in various combinations, sleeping 2 - 22 people.
Our Victorian Sawmill is restored and converted into 4 cottages which, with the ingenious use of extra internal passageways & doors downstairs, can be easily combined together for parties & celebrations and accommodation for families or groups. There's also 4 private hot tubs on site for guest use.
Sawyers Cottage is also licensed for civil wedding ceremonies and a marquee can be erected next to the cottages for wedding receptions.
Another cottage (No 4 Coppermines Cottages) sleeps 4 and is about 500 yards further down the valley.
The Bridge Cottages | Coniston Village | Sleeping up to 16
These historic whitewashed stone cottages are in the heart of the village and are some of the oldest buildings dating back over 300 years, being the original village post office, a butchers and, latterly, a well known eating house. They have private parking and a small garden, with a further private waterside garden with tables, chairs and barbecue by Church Beck with extensive views over the village & the surrounding fells.
They can be ingeniously combined together for groups of up to 16 people in 8 bedrooms, ideal for celebrating special occasions and only a short walk from all amenities. There's also the use of two private hot tubs too!
Dixon Ground Cottages | Coniston Village | Sleeping up to 14
Two Victorian stone built mid-terraced properties, with a delightful cottage garden, built 100 years ago by the owners grandparents with much recent refurbishment and period features.
Situated in the quieter upper part of the village, under mature trees, the cottages are at the start of the footpaths to the fells. They have extensive mountain views to the rear, whilst at the front you can enjoy the re-landscaped garden from the shelter of the open Victorian veranda.

Tailor make your stay to suit your group’s wants and needs. Fill your break with excitement and adrenalin or choose less energetic past times alongside plenty relaxation or enjoy a healthy mixture. All activities are immediately onsite at Lane Head or not far from the doorstep. If you want to run a course from knitting to paragliding, Lane Head is the ideal base. Following a year of major refurbishment works ending in May 2016, this magnificent Georgian property has undergone a complete transformation.
Located a stone’s throw from Coniston village (less than a third of a mile), set on the road to the striking and historical Coppermines Valley lies this spacious Georgian home. The owners, Jane & Simon have, with much effort managed to create a home of the highest quality standards whilst carefully managing to preserve the properties outstanding historical features.
From its peaceful situ the house enjoys delightful aspects overlooking the open fields to the front and the bubbling Church Beck to the rear. Whilst the outside of the property offers areas of solitude and calm, it is inside where the real allure of this beautiful home can be found.

Beckside is a lovely four-bedroom detached cottage, situated in the peaceful Hawes Bank area of Coniston, next door to the Catholic Church.
The surrounding Coniston fells can be walked straight from the front door & The Ship Inn is only few minutes’ walk away along the old railway line which leads back into the village. In essence Beckside Cottage has bags of space: there's rooms to bring families together yet room enough to spread out too, situated not far from the amenities of Coniston village, the fells and the lake this truly is a great family holiday base.
