|The cottage is lovely and perfect for our family. the kitchen is really well equipped and the cottage is very warm and cosy. Wonderful views from the conservatory.
V.H., Feb 2017
The Garden Cottage has been thoughtfully and thoroughly prepared. The cottage is very well equipped, particularly in the kitchen. There was no need to bring additional items from home, which has been the case in other self catering cottages which we have stayed in.
P.G, Dec 2016
We booked to stay in this cottage quite last minute, and as such did very little in the way of research. We will definitely be back! This deceptively spacious cottage is located a pleasant 10 minute walk from the centre of Coniston, the view from the glazed rear seating area was a spectacular surprise. Whilst having every modern convenience you could need it also has a great deal of rustic charm. The boot room with drying rack via the side entrance was a welcome addition for the weather during our stay. The property has been very well planned with each room having quality bathrooms en suite. The wood burning stove in the sitting room was the perfect accompaniment to a very peaceful and enjoyable family break.

Excellent cottage. Immaculate throughout. Very well maintained. Such a joy to visit.
D.F., Nov 2016
What A Place! The Garden Cottage is a true hidden gem and is the perfect place to get away from it all and relax and unwind. It is immaculately presented and appointed and really does feel like home from home. The centre piece has to be the spacious conservatory - where the views overlooking the lake are simply stunning. The real log burner in the lounge is another huge positive.....makes you want to have one in your own home! It's only a short walk down to the Bluebird cafe which also gave our 18 month old the opportunity to see some sheep - and from there it's just a few hundred yards into Coniston itself where there is everything you need for a break away......shop, pubs, restaurants, cashpoints, petrol, logs! If you get the opportunity, take the lake walk to Torver where you can get a pint of the Lakes' best ale - Loweswater Gold!

We spent a lovely week in this beautiful cottage. We loved having breakfast in the conservatory and listening to the rain on the roof (practically every morning). The kitchen/dining area was great for cooking family meals in the evening and playing games. The lounge was nice and cosy for watching TV and chilling, we almost got the hang of the keeping the fire going by the end of the week. We've enjoyed some nice walks and plenty of drinks and meals in the local pubs - the Church House Inn at Torver was particularly good for food. Thanks for a great week, I’m sure we'll all be recommending your cottage to family and friends.
