- Quaint terraced cottage
- Fantastic views over Coniston Water
- Perfect for couples
Rose Bank Cottage is one of a row of pretty terraced cottages built around 1820 for the workers at the Coniston copper mine. Vale View terrace, with its variety of cottage styles and build, was originally intended for middle management, with the benefit of being closer to the village. You'll find Rose Bank is well positioned not only for village amenities, and fell and footpath access, but also for breath-taking views across to Coniston Water.
A shared porch provides access to the front door and then on into the living room. The brick and marble open fireplace faces leather sofa and chairs, and the stone floor is rug covered. A window seat provides a great vantage point for taking in the view. The kitchen is well equipped and there's plenty of dining space. Upstairs the front double room has stunning views across to the lake and the rolling green hills beyond. The back bedroom can be either a double or twin, and both rooms are en suite. Rose Bank is a really flexible cottage, ideal for two couples or a small family. Across from the cottage over the narrow lane, there is a terraced garden with steps down. Watch the sun rise with an early morning coffee and see the evening shadows chase across the vale.
