- Village property
- Perfect for families
- Secluded cottage garden
Quietly located in a cul de sac off Lake Road, River Cottage is a single storey property, superbly positioned for easy and quick access by foot to the lake shore, and to the village and its amenities. And of course that means that the fells are not too far either. Just leave your car on the drive for the whole holiday if you want.
Inside there's a large sitting room, plenty of comfortable places to relax in, games, books, hi-fi as well as TV and DVD player. Also there’s a large dining room, which can seat six which has a patio door that leads out to the stunning secluded garden with a babbling beck flowing next to it. The terrace has a sun umbrella and garden furniture. So sit back and gaze out over the easterly views of the fells towards Grizedale Forest and Hawkshead.
The kitchen provides access to the garden too and has all you'll need equipment-wise. The main double bedroom is enormous and overlooks the garden. There is also a large twin bedroom with space enough for a dressing area and another twin that again has ample room.
There is plenty of scope at River Cottage for large families; small enough to be cosy yet spacious enough so that everyone can get some room to themselves.

|Lovely cottage. Lovely little garden. Well located.|

|A "Tardis" of a bungalow in a lovely location, tucked up the corner of a cul-de-sac. Well laid out with enclosed garden, perfect for keeping our small dog contained. All of the rooms are spacious and the main double bedroom has two big windows with beautiful views out down towards the lake and the hills behind. The cottage is Right next to the river flowing down into Coniston Lake. This cottage gives you such easy access down to Lake Coniston it's a flat walk via the Craft Centre at the bottom of the lane, follow the path through over the bridge back out onto the Lane down to the Bluebird Cafe and access to various boat trips out onto the lake and walks around the Lake. Turn right out of the Cul-de-Sac takes you into the village centre (10 mins walk max) plenty of dog friendly pubs/cafes to choose from and again access to walks/buses making it a fantastic location to get around all of the Lakes. We loved our short break in River Cottage and would certainly recommend this Cottage for guests with reduced mobility.|

|The cottage served us well as a base to explore the south Lakes.
Whilst we were blessed with fair weather and spent most of our time

to spend more time indoors.

|We have already recommended you to four families and always will do.
The icing on the cake was the snow plough that came twice and cleared
away snow which we thought was over and above all expectations.
