- Beautifully furnished
- Central village location
- Perfect for couples and small families
Going through Penny Rigg's front door, you enter into a slate hallway, perfect for leaving walking gear. The slate floor extends into the living room with its large comfy leather sofa, ideally positioned right in front of the wood-burning stove. No fighting over who gets that and who gets the armchairs. As well as the TV and DVD, there's an MP3 docking station and Wi Fi access if needed, maybe by the younger generation? The kitchen has all you'll need and there's a dining table for four. Upstairs is oak-floored; the double bedroom has fell views towards the quiet back while the twin/super king room face the front, both are en-suite with no expense spared. Penny Rigg has a small courtyard back garden complete with garden furniture. This cottage will make a great base for families of four, for exploring Coniston and the Lake District beyond.

|Stayed here for Christmas 2016, decorated with lovely Christmas trimmings. We have stayed in a lot of holiday rentals over the years and this is one of the best. Warm and cosy on a winters day and everything you would need for a perfect holiday. Within easy walking distance to Lake Coniston, pubs, and shops. Good central location for traveling around the lake district. Thank you for a lovely holiday.|

|Going on holiday in December is a lottery, but when staying in a 4 star cottage we felt we'd won!
A log fire, a well equipped kitchen, a very comfortable bed and an excellent shower. What more could you want except pubs on your doorstep. Well guess what - we had those too. An excellent location for walks, scenery, good food in the pubs. Felt hard going home!

|Fantastic spot and we have had a lovely time walking, in local pubs and
