- Quaint cottage
- Walking distance to village
- Perfect for couples
Slightly out of the village going south is Number 1 Lake View, an end of terrace cottage, handily close for the Ship Inn, yet only a 10 minutes walk from Coniston.
Entrance to the cottage is through a porch, handy for muddy boots and outdoor gear. This leads into the kitchen/diner. You'll be struck by the high ceiling and slate-flagged floor. And off course the kitchen has everything you'll need. To the left is the living room, with its wood-burning stove surrounded by sofas and armchairs, perfect for collapsing into after an invigorating day on the fells. You can see Coniston Water from the French windows.
A pine stairwell leads up from the kitchen to a double bedroom, with views of the lake, even from lying in bed, and a twin bedroom facing the front. Exposed stonework in the windows adds to the cottage's rustic charm. Outside there's a small slate paved sitting area with garden furniture, where you can sit sheltered under mature trees, looking out across the meadows and fields to the lake and fells beyond.

I've just come home from a week stay at number 1 lake view cottage. Very easy to find and looked lovely and quaint from outside. From the first moment I walked in I knew we were going to have a lovely time. The cottage is very cosy with beautiful kitchen and the all important log fire with breathtaking views from the French doors in living area and from the main bedroom. The walls are so thick, like most cottages, so it were lovely and warm. Fab heating system with instant hot water and the pressure from taps was excellent.Very clean on arrival although we had to go out that evening to get matches as no lighters or matches in the house to light the log burner as the oven and hob are electric. Both dishwasher and washing machine with a great drying radiator in the kitchen. Thank you for a lovely stay. We will not hesitate to stop with coppermines again.

Cosy cottage with lovely views of Coniston Water. Short walk away from village which had plenty of places to eat and some nice shops. Visited Bluebird Cafe on several occasions, perfect spot to watch the boat trips go out and enjoy the stunning scenery. Had a very relaxing holiday in a beautiful part of the Lakes. Definitely coming back again.

A lovely little cottage which has been modernised but still retains a cottage feel. All mod cons include central heating, double glazed windows etc. Lovely, warm and comfortable with a fantastic view of Coniston Lake and ideally situated to explore the Lake District. I would highly recommend and would definately come again!
