No.3 The Forge is nestled within a row of cosy terraced cottages, originally built to house the 19th century copper miners who toiled in the beautiful valley above. Having recently undergone major refurbishments, No.3 The Forge now benefits from a host of mod cons yet manages to maintain its original cottage charm.
This beautiful terrace stone and slate built cottage has an advantageous positioning, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Yewdale Road, yet close enough to access all the amenities Coniston village has to offer. A cosy & romantic hideaway, the presence of quality is apparent throughout thanks to the owners Sue & Ian, who have lavished much care and attention on its restoration.
There is a secluded terraced patio and gravelled garden to the rear of the property, a haven, perfect for sitting out and admiring the dramatic backdrop of the surrounding woodland and fells. The front of the property offers a fantastic aspect over the bubbling church beck which runs through the heart of Coniston.
No.3 The Forge is situated next door to No.2 & No.4 The Forge. The three individual properties combined have the ability to sleep 12, perfect for larger families.

|A lovely cottage with beautiful views. Coniston is full of character with picturesque walks and delicious fudge. The fire was great to heat up the house on a rainy day.
I would definitely recommend The Forge Cottages for any family wanting an adventure week in the Lake District.

|A lovely cottage, big change for us to be in the village as we usually stay up on 'The Banks', we liked it a lot.
Enjoyed many lovely walks, Elterwater, Little Langdale, and Cathedral Cave is worth seeing. Also walked to Sunny Bank along the shore of Coniston Water.
Cottage was very comfortable, very warm, quiet and well equipped.
