- Spacious property
- Village location
- Perfect for families and groups
Low How Cottage is a large detached single storey home, on the edge of Coniston, yet still easily within village centre walking distance. As you leave the road you enter the drive through decorative iron gates - there's plenty of parking space, for up to 4 cars.
The first thing to strike you as you go in, is a big slate floored entrance hall, with plenty of room for discarded walking boots and jackets, very handy for ramblers. Turn right and there's an enormous living room, with 5-seater and 3-seater sofas, just waiting for tired bodies to drop into them and enjoy the massive slate fireplace with a large log burner. There are plenty of games should you be able to drag the children away from the TV and DVD. French windows lead you to a south-facing sun terrace, with a table for six, bench, BBQ and garden lights. The views of meadows, the lake and the rolling fells beyond, make this a gorgeous spot for al fresco cooking and dining. The garden is grassy and surrounded by hedges, ideal for little legs to hare around in.
There's a very large kitchen, with all the mod cons you'd need to cater for large families and groups of friends, and there's a separate dining room that can sit 10. There are four large bedrooms that can be used as doubles or twins, with three being en suite. They all have garden and fell views. You just need someone to bring you that cup of tea so you can enjoy the views from bed. You may also be surprised to find a sauna in the shower room, which might be just what you need after a day on the fells. So if you're on an extended family getaway or a large group of friends escaping the daily grind, Low How will give you just want you're after.
