- Spacious detached property
- Walking distance to village & fells
- Perfect for families and groups
Beckside is a lovely four-bedroom detached cottage, situated in the peaceful Hawes Bank area of Coniston, next door to the Catholic Church.
Originally refurbished about 10 years ago, this bright and spacious cottage is perfectly positioned for families and groups wishing to explore Coniston and the central Lakes area.
The gravelled driveway has ample parking for 2 cars, with extra parking found on the nearby layby. Entrance is gained to the rear through the cottage kitchen where there is ample room for organising your outdoor gear after a day on the fells. From the well equipped kitchen you are presented with not one but two living areas. The first a spacious open plan living & dining area complete with log fire and television and the second a cosy snug/reading room, perfect for curling up with a good book.
Up the stairs you will find 4 bedrooms each with either lake or field views. There are also two bathrooms on this floor, making long morning queues a thing of the past.
To the rear of the cottage is the hidden cottage garden, a large lawned area perfect for picnics and basking in the sun.
The surrounding Coniston fells can be walked straight from the front door & The Ship Inn is only few minutes’ walk away along the old railway line which leads back into the village.
In essence Beckside Cottage has bags of space: there's rooms to bring families together yet room enough to spread out too, situated not far from the amenities of Coniston village, the fells and the lake this truly is a great family holiday base.
