|One of the nicest holiday houses we have stayed in. Very clean, modern and had everything we needed. Wilson Arms pub was just round the corner and was great. Would definitely recommend this house to friends.|

|We booked this accommodation online in Australia. It was every bit as good as the pictures looked. Everything was provided and more.We would not hesitate to recommend this cottage to anyone. Just remember to take the torch with you at night when you head to the pub.|

|Ash Gill cottage was an excellent choice for our holiday this year, it was well equipped, newly refurbished and well located. The rooms are all good sizes with a lovely spacious family / dining room. There is plenty of off road parking and a small enclosed rear garden the boys used to play in.
The local pub is great for food and drinks. Coniston water was less commercialised than Lake Windermere, it offered a fun day out without the crowds but is just as picturesque. There are lovely walks by the water or up the mountains and the boys loved Go Ape which is near by.

|A party of 6 of us stayed for 3 weeks as part of a university geology project working and walking in the local Coniston fells. The cottage itself is well situated as a base for walking into the fells (and the Old Man of Coniston) and the Torver deli & The Wilsons Arms pub are great facilities to have nearby in the village. There is good access to Coniston & further afield to the Duddon Valley, Ambleside & Windermere by road - there is easily room for 2 cars at the cottage.
The cottage is well and recently furnished as the photographs suggest with a large and comfortable combined living and dining area and a modern kitchen on the ground floor with a large hallway to store boots, coats & bags, etc. There are 2 twin rooms and a master bedroom (with double bed) upstairs which are again well furnished. There is an ensuite with shower connected to the master bedroom and a separate bathroom - both modern and well furnished. The house was kept clean (despite of 6 university students) by a weekly cleaner.
All in all, we had a great trip & were really impressed by the quality of the cottage. Recommended.

|We had an excellent stay at Ash Gill. Plenty of space, really nicely decorated inside and beautifully clean on arrival. The location is fantastic for exploring the Lake District.|

|100% satisfied with our stay at Ash Gill Cottage!!
Fully modernised and well-equipped cottage set in the quiet village of Torver. Perfect location for appreciating all the Lake District has to offer. The accommodation is very well-equipped, homely and perfect for families or small groups. The rooms are immaculately presented and spacious.
The Property is surrounded by stunning scenery and is overlooked by the peak of the Old Man of Consiton. The Wilson Arms is just a stones throw away offering real ales, traditional home cooked food and a warm welcome.
Highly Recommended - We will definitely be staying there again!!

|We stayed in the ash gill 3-5th May. It is a fabulous rental property and had absolutely everything we needed to enjoy our stay. There was even a baby gate which we used to keep our 2.5yr old son from getting down the stairs at night.
The bedrooms are big in size and are well presented. The bathroom is very modern and has a large bath and powerful shower. The lounge/diner is open plan and has a fab log burner and big flat screen tv. The kitchen was filled with cutlery, utensils pots and pans-everything we needed and more.
As you can probably tell, we enjoyed our short break in Coniston. The Ash Gill was definitely a good choice for our family and we will be returning later on in the year, thanks!!!

|Torver and Coniston are so much nicer than some of the other more touristy areas of the lakes. The owners left an Easter egg for the kids, and the Wilson Arms was excellent for food and drink. Cottage itself was high spec and very relaxing.|

|This was our 17th stay at Ash Gill cottage, which says it all really! Super location with the Wilson Arms pub for food & refreshment nearby and lots of lovely walks from the house, including the Old Man of Coniston and Coniston Lake. The house is really well equipped with super furniture & furnishings. A luxury family bathroom plus ensuite & downstairs loo makes it easy for 6 people to stay very comfortably. We always have a great time!|

|Ash Gill Cottage is set in a beautiful, picturesque location. It is in close proximity to Coniston and Hawkshead and is in walking distance (100 yards) to the Wilson Arms (amazing food). The cottage itself is superb, very homely and relaxing, the kitchen is lovely and very well equipped if you choose to cook. The living space is cosy with real log fire, comfy sofa's (recliners) and large TV (perfect). There is also ample dining space to enjoy family meals. All rooms are exceptionally clean, very well maintained and tastefully decorated with a modern cottage feel. We have now booked to go back in June for another weekend away...we can't wait!!|

|Arrived late on a Friday night after a long journey with two young children, was fabulous to be able to just walk in to a home from home. Every detail in the house has been thought through and executed beautifully. We woke to the most beautiful views, over the countryside. Location was perfect for walking and popping into Coniston. With two local pubs with excellent food on offer the kitchen though perfect, didn't get used! All of us loved our stay, and we will definitely be booking again this year|

|We enjoyed our eighteenth stay at Ash Gill, and that should be a good endorsement in itself. We are all keen walkers and Ash Gill provides superb access to the surrounding fells.
The village has two pubs and it is great to stroll to one - in two minutes - for good beer, wines and food, after a rewarding day outside. The house facilities are good, recently updated, and our hosts invariably helpful.
How long can we keep going?
